Serif* shows an old picture with her and her son. The 55-year-old has not lost hope, that he could be alive. Serif were visiting relatives in the village of Solagh, when ISIS overran Shingal. She was abducted by ISIS members and after nine month she managed to flee. Three of her daughters are still missing. Serif’s family had several shops in their home village Tel Qasab, south of Mount Sinjar. Now Serif lives in a tent outside the official camp. (*name changed) Khanke, Iraq, July 20, 2016
